Mozambican Companies Join Efforts to Support Mambas' Participation in CAN 2023

Empresas Moçambicanas Unem Esforços para Apoiar a  Participação dos Mambas no CAN 2023

A group of Mozambican companies, made up of Banco Nacional de Investimento (BNI), Portos e Caminhos-de-Ferro de Moçambique, E.P (CFM), Construções Karina, Cornelder de Moçambique (CdM), Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), EMOSE, Grindrod, Hidroelétrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB), Manica, Mota-Engil, Petromoc and the Sociedade de Desenvolvimento do Porto de Maputo (MPDC), came together for a noble purpose: to support the participation of the Mozambican national football team in the tournament. Soccer at the African Nations Championship (CAN-2023).

The prestigious tournament will take place in Ivory Coast in January and February 2024. These companies, leaders in their sectors, recognize the fundamental role of sport as a catalyst for the development and internationalization of Mozambique in the social, economic and cultural spheres.

Demonstrating a firm commitment to social responsibility, these companies are united in their support for the Mambas, channeling resources through the Sports Promotion Fund.

The support fund will be used, among other things, to cover expenses associated with the training camp in South Africa, equipment and stamping, and accommodation, food and transport costs during the championship in Côte d'Ivoire.

By contributing to the Mambas' participation in CAN 2023, these companies highlight their conviction that this initiative will not only enhance national sport, but will also serve as a vehicle for raising Mozambique's name to international levels, promoting a collective sense of national pride.

By joining forces, BNI, CFM, Construções Karina, Cornelder, EDM, EMOSE, Grindrod, HCB, Manica, Mota-Engil, MPDC and Petromoc are reinforcing their commitment to the integral development of Mozambique, using sport as a tool for cohesion and positive projection at international level.

This collective support highlights the importance of collaboration between sectors and companies to boost sporting initiatives of great national significance, demonstrating that when we join forces we can achieve remarkable feats.
