The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, is taking part in the Paris Summit on June 22 and 23, representing the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.
The event aims to establish and approve a new Global Financial Agreement, proposed by the French government, entitled: "The Paris Summit for a New Financing Pact".
France also wants to draw up a new contract between North and South to make it easier for vulnerable countries to access funding to deal with the consequences of the current and future crises.
A statement quoted by RM indicates that Adriano Maleiane will be speaking on one of the six panels at the summit, which will focus on the debt of developing countries, as well as holding some meetings on the sidelines. (RM)
