Tmcel launches new virtual eSIM card to replace the physical one

Tmcel - Moçambique Telecom, recently launched an innovative product, eSIM, an evolution of the physical SIM card into a virtual one.

The card is integrated into the hardware of the device itself, so there is no need to insert or remove it from the device.

The main advantages of implementing this technology are the security of devices and customer data, convenience, sustainability and the activation of more numbers on the same device.

Since the eSIM cannot be removed as it is virtually integrated into the device, the data connection cannot be interrupted and helps to locate the device in the event of loss or theft, as well as eliminating the possibility of the card wearing out or breaking.

As this is a relatively new technology, handsets with eSIM support are also new to the market.

To find out if your device supports the use of eSIM, check its settings or visit the manufacturer's website. You can also check the models with eSIM at the following link: https://www.tmcel.mz/modelos/

It is important to note that this service is available to Prepaid, Duo and Postpaid customers. eSIM can be activated at the Tmcel stores listed at the following link: https://www.tmcel.mz/lojas/
