The town of Mbombmela, in the South African province of Mpumalanga, could see a new outbreak of covid-19, due to the growing number of cases.
"Given the current circumstances, there is a possibility of an increase in cases of covid-19 which, if not managed in time, could lead to a new outbreak," reads a circular from the health department received by MZNews.
The document calls for all precautions to prevent the disease to be taken and considered with "the utmost alertness".
It is recommended that patients' health history be analyzed for new consultations, that inpatients and all suspected cases be tested, and that patients and health professionals working in hospitals and centers wear protective masks.
