Absa Bank Moçambique was recognized by the Mozambique Stock Exchange (BVM) as the largest Custodian Bank by companies registered with the Central de Valores Mobiliários (CVM) in 2022.
According to the statement sent to our newsroom, this distinction is further proof of the bank's commitment to boosting the Mozambican capital market as well as strengthening sustainable relationships with its customers and partners.
Patricia Darsam, Director of Corporate and Investment Banking, expressed her satisfaction for the distinction:
"We are proud to receive the award given by the Mozambique Stock Exchange in the category of largest Custodian Bank by Companies registered with the CVM, for registering the largest number of companies at the Central Securities Depository during the year 2021.
This award is further recognition of our effort, dedication, and delivery of services and products of excellence to the market, and is directly linked to the trust and loyalty of our customers and partners. One more reason for us to keep finding ways to make things happen".
Recall that this is not the first distinction that the bank has received from BVM. In 2021 the bank was recognized for its role as Best Financial Intermediary in the Stock Exchange Market, which demonstrates the banking institution's efforts to strengthen its support for the Mozambican financial market on several fronts.
