Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) awards, this Friday, the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to the President of the Republic Filipe Nyusi, in the area of Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Change.
A press release from the EMU, states that the title is awarded, taking into account the advocacy made by the Head of State in front of decision-makers at regional and international level for the implementation of effective measures in conservation programs and in mitigating the effects of climate change.
According to the document, the leadership of a government that seeks partnerships to fight pollution of the oceans and seas and ensure a sustainable blue economy weighs heavily for this award.
