An Angolan citizen was caught by Mozambican police authorities, at the Maputo International Airport, shortly after landing with 38 capsules of cocaine hidden in his stomach.

The 37-year-old man preferred not to say anything to journalists, limiting himself to silence in the face of pressing questions.

The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) explained that the Angolan citizen departed from São Paulo, Brazil, and stopped in Qatar. During yesterday night he expelled the first amount of cocaine and the remaining amount this Friday morning.

SERNIC continues to work on the case to find out more details of the drug trafficking and make sure of the destination of the illicit substances.
