The wife of the President of the Republic, Isaura Nyusi, is leading this Sunday, in Maputo, the central ceremony alluding to the sixtieth anniversary of the PAN- African Women's Day, which is celebrated under the slogan "For Gender Equality in the Context of Climate Change," reports Radio Mozambique.
The purpose of the event is to raise society's awareness about valuing the elderly, promoting women's rights, and preventing and combating premature unions, in order to eradicate violence and other evils that plague this social stratum.
In these celebrations, the First Lady will be accompanied by the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Action, Nyeleti Mondlane, staff and partners of the Office of the Spouse of the President of the Republic.
