Galp awarded two filling stations (BP) in the city of Maputo and one located in Xai-Xai for their performance in terms of the quality of service provided to customers, under the new Shine Galp programme. This program provides for the continuous assessment of a number of parameters that include safety rules, cleaning and maintenance of the gas stations, and excellence in customer service, among others.
The Shine Galp initiative is also a continuous and intensive training programme for all station employees with close monitoring in matters of Environment, Quality and Safety and a focus on service and Galp Customer satisfaction. Assessments are made monthly in order to ensure the standards of excellence of Galp's service and to raise the standards of safety at the gas stations.
In this first quarter of evaluation, the retailers at the gas stations received a certificate and a performance bonus associated with the initiative. Of all the Galp network's PAs subject to the monthly assessment, the first place went to the O&J Gestão de Participações, Lda. petrol station, located in Mahotas, in Maputo; the ZAP Zambézia Agro-Pecuária, Lda. petrol station, in Xai Xai; and the Capital Oil, Lda. petrol station, located in Cumbeza II, in Maputo.
Galp Mozambique's general manager, Paulo Varela, commercial director, Francisco Ferreira, client manager, José Sousa, and marketing manager, Cláudia Ngwenya, presented the prizes to the first-prize winners in a ceremony that took place on the premises of the gas stations in the presence of the retailers and their teams.
"We recognize the effort being made by everyone to improve service, quality of care, safety and operational conditions on the network by continuously working with our partners, stakeholders and employees," said Paulo Varela at the ceremony held at the Mahotas gas station. "This award is extended to all employees of the station, who every day give their faces for Galp doing a job we can be proud of," he added.
The top-ranked PA Resellers were grateful for the recognition: "It was a great joy to receive the Shine Galp award only three years after starting the operation, which is a sign of personal and business growth," said José Machado. His wife, Ofélia Machado, explained the formula for success: "A lot of management effort and commitment from our employees, who are the first line of communication with customers and are always ready to respond with a smile to the criticisms and suggestions they receive.
