The Captation Post of personal data for the emission of Identity Cards (BI), in the Interfranca zone, in the 24 de Julho Avenue, in Maputo, has already reopened, and with a bigger number of machines, according to what the National Directorate of Civil Identification (DNIC) advanced, this Wednesday.
The station now has eight machines that operate on a pre-marking system to avoid crowding at the site, according to DNIC spokeswoman Gilda Lameque, quoted by the news.
According to Lameque, the decision to introduce machines with an early marking system was due to the positive evaluation verified at two other data capture stations for the same purpose in Maputo City.
The spokeswoman said that the closure of the post, on February 21st, did not harm the issuing of IDs, since the mobile brigades set up throughout the capital gave flow to the data capturing process.
On the other hand, the spokeswoman lamented the fact that about 200,000 tickets have not been picked up. But she hopes that the measure to suppress data on the waiting slips, which has been running since March 7, will encourage users to pick up their tickets.
The vouchers are used as a substitute for ID's and "we have already realized that.
