The Attorney General's Office (PGR) considers improvement in the quality of work as an important factor in the fight against organized crime, and this Tuesday called for the expulsion of undercover agents in the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC).
According to the Attorney General of the Republic, Beatriz Buchili, SERNIC agents collaborate to the increase of organized crime, such as kidnapping, kidnapping, terrorism, and drug trafficking.
The Director-General of SERNIC, Nelson Rego, has assured that there will be a restructuring within the institution, as part of the revision of the Law that created this crime-fighting body.
For her part, the Minister of the Interior, Arsénia Massingue, said it was imperative to have technical and technological modernization and constant training of the agents of that institution.
It should be noted that in mid-February last year, the PGR accused SERNIC and Police officers assigned to the Anti-Kidnapping Brigade of being involved in the kidnapping of a citizen who was engaged in drug trafficking and sales.
Last year, 11 SERNIC agents were expelled from the corporation for involvement in various types of crimes.
