One of Samsung's automotive sensor executives, Haechang Lee, said that the company is working on a 576MP sensor scheduled for release in 2025.

In recent years, Samsung has sought to develop the area of photo sensors and has consistently increased the number of pixels in cell phone cameras. As recalled by Android Headlinesquoted by Notícias ao Minuto, Samsung had already advanced that it intended to reach 600MP, and apparently it is very close to reaching that goal.

At the moment it does not appear that this sensor is being developed for cell phones, but rather for cars, and it is anticipated that it would help improve the capabilities of autonomous driving systems.
