Mozambique will fight to acquire technologies that guarantee the use of renewable energies, guarantees the Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário.
The leader was speaking in the context of the Twenty-Sixth World Conference of Climate Leaders, COP 26, which is being held in the Scottish city of Glasgow, UK.
In a press conference, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário underlined that the alleged energy transition should not harm the country's development process.
"We are very interested in making an energy transition and this transition cannot be made at the expense of our development process and so we have asked that this transition be made in a gradual and phased manner. It is in this context that we asked that gas could be used while we make this transition," he said.
