The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Max Tonela said there are negotiations between the government and partners to resume activities in the Rovuma gas exploration project, especially in Area 1.
According to Max Tonela, who was speaking on Wednesday after a meeting between the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, and managers of Galp and Mitsui, operators of gas projects in Area 01 of the Rovuma Basin, the government is expectant about the resumption of the activities of the oil companies that paralyzed their work in the Rovuma Basin due to the climate of insecurity in the province of Cabo Delgado.
"The outlook is that by the end of the year we will define the conditions to sit down and decide on the resumption of the project, but the basic issue is that they are satisfied with the progress, but we all want a sustainable security situation that allows all the planned investment projects to take place," said. the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy.
