Migration authorities at the border of Ressano Garcia in Maputo province are working hard to ease the return of nationals and foreigners, who came to the country following the Christmas and New Year's festivities.
There are just over 70,000 citizens who will be able to return to their jobs in the land of the rand by this Monday.
Sunday afternoon saw considerable movement of both domestic and foreign nationals returning to South Africa on a day when return movement is expected to peak.
The spokesman for the Provincial Migration Service in Maputo, Juca Bata, explains that everything is being done in order to make the return movement of national and foreign citizens more flexible.
Following this movement, the governor of Maputo province, Júlio Parruque, cited by Radio Mozambique, calls for prudent driving of all travelers in order to avoid traffic accidents.
The identical appeal was also launched by the Secretary of State in Maputo province, Vitória Diogo.
