The consulting firm Interbrand last week released Best Global Brands 2021, the annual ranking of the world's most valuable brands, in which Apple was once again ranked first with its $408.3 million.
Interbrand reports that the technology company saw its market value grow by about 28% during the last year.
This is once again, as in 2020, where technology companies lead the podium places in the "Best Global Brands". As a result, Amazon and Microsoft appear, which, together with Apple, make up 33% of the total evaluated.
In second place is the "A to Z" company, Amazon, with its $249.2 million, corresponding to a 24% growth. And, the last place on the podium went to the computer company Microsoft, with its 210.2 million dollars, corresponding to a 27% rise in its market value.
The top 5 is rounded out by Google and Samsung, with valuations of 196.8 and 74.6 million, respectively. This reflects, once again, that technology dominates the top spots.
Nevertheless, it is a car company that has made the biggest leap: at 14th, Tesla is the brand that shows the biggest rise in the ranking. The company owned by South African Elon Musk has climbed 26 places, thus taking the title of the fastest growing insignia: a record 184% in one year to 36.270 million - an unprecedented percentage jump in Interbrand's ranking.
Interbrand's ranking has a total of one hundred brands, whose value in 2021 totals $2.6 billion, up 15% from 2020.
