On May 30, an event was held between Absa Bank Mozambique, the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises, IP (IPEME), the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (APME) and several entrepreneurs, to present the solutions that this partnership brings to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

This presentation session, one of the actions that materialize the memorandum signed on May 8, 2023, aims to create synergies to support and boost the development of the MSME sector. The institutions intend, in coordination, to promote the revitalization of the national economy by offering relevant services to economic agents, particularly MSMEs, thus contributing to the expansion of business opportunities and investments.

Martha Humbane, Head of Retail and Business Banking at Absa Bank Mozambique, said at the opening session that "the partnership has only reinforced our commitment to continue innovating and diversifying our offer, recognizing the need to establish an increasingly close relationship, and the relevance of carrying out coordinated work in the field of promoting and harmoniously developing the national economy by supporting this business fabric, both by empowering them to have greater access to specialized financial services, and by offering products, services, digital channels, and personalized service, but above all, competitive solutions".

In this session, which aimed to bring together and create new partnerships with the various players who were present and present the benefits of creating a greater relationship with the bank, Martha Humbane made it clear that "we are convinced that, through initiatives like this, we will be promoting the development and dynamization of this important sector, dignifying and valuing the activities of MSMEs, contributing directly to the sustainable growth of the Mozambican economy".
