Australian energy company, Tlou Energy Ltd. has announced to investors that it intends to start green hydrogen production at the Lesedi project in Botswana starting next year as part of its efforts to offer cleaner and greener energy production options.
Tlou Energy Ltd. is working on the Lesedi project with hydrogen tech Synergen Met, and together they will attempt to produce clean hydrogen by combining existing large natural gas reserves and abundant solar energy. And, according to the Australian company in a statement, prototype engineering is proceeding according to plan.
"Regarding licenses and agreements for marketing our gas, Tlou is well advanced," said Tlou CEO Tony Gilby, quoted in the document.
Synergen Met plans to hold an initial public offering in the coming months, and Tlou has the option to participate in the capital raising operation up to three million dollars under its partnership agreement.
Based on comparative evaluations of similar listed companies, the AIM-listed natural resources company foresees a significant improvement for a potential investment in Synergen Met. In addition, the collaboration with the partner allows for considerable expansion and a new route into the Tlou gas market in Botswana, the statement said.
