Mozambique Fashion Week (MFW), the largest fashion festival in the country, will take place for the first time in Vilankulo district, Inhambane province, where various players in the sector will discuss fashion and biodiversity.
For the materialization of this intention, Vasco Rocha, director of BDD, the MFW organizing company, and Galiza Matos Jr., administrator of Vilankulo, signed this Monday, in Maputo, a memorandum of understanding.
The initiative is scheduled to take place in October to coincide with the African Nations Championship (CAN) of Beach soccer being held in that tourist spot.
According to Rocha, MFW will bring many appealing approaches to environmental conservation, with one of the highlights going to the inauguration of the first runway made from eco-friendly material "taken from the sea to make people realize that trash is recyclable."
