Terrorists in Cabo Delgado claim that ten soldiers from the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) were killed and many others wounded in an area near Ilala, the administrative post of Quiterajo, in the Macomia district.

The Letter from Mozambique that the insurgents captured various war materials from the soldiers who died in combat and from those who managed to escape the ambush.

The information was reported by a pro-terrorist media outlet which also published photos and identification documents of the soldiers who were allegedly ambushed.

The Mozambican authorities have yet to comment on this report. Recently, the population returning to Mucojo and Quiterajo had to be withdrawn for a counter-offensive by the FDS, according to the source.
