The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, inaugurated, this Thursday, the new Gasoline Production Complex of the Luanda Refinery, whose project will allow the increase in capacity from 395,000 to 1,580,000 liters of fuel per day.

The country's Portal states that the construction of this enterprise is in line with the goal of increasing Angola's refining capacity, which is part of the objectives of the National Development Plan 2018 - 2022, under implementation by the Angolan Executive.
With this new complex, Angola will be able to save around US$300 million annually in gasoline imports.
The president of Sonangol's board of directors, Gaspar Martins, speaks of a reduction of about 15% in the import of this fuel and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency.
"This complex will be handled by young Angolan staff who have been properly trained, thus reinforcing our bet on the development of national human capital," stressed the source.
