A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected in Mozambique next month to assess the latest macroeconomic developments.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, Max Tonela, announced the information in Washington, USA, on the sidelines of the annual spring meetings organized by the IMF and the World Bank.
The work is part of the fourth revision of the extended credit fidelity program for the period 2022-2025, agreed between the parties.
The Executive should address more possibilities for mobilizing financial resources to strengthen the country's economy.
Quoted by Notícias, Tonela recalled that Mozambique has "a working group involving a World Bank representation in Maputo, to supervise, monitor and mobilize other initiatives to minimize the negative impacts and ensure that all affected families are assisted".
The Minister assured the partners that last year the country recorded growth of 5.1%, and that the state will continue to work to implement the macroeconomic reforms under the IMF program.
