The Minister of State Administration and Civil Service demands that the inspectors of this sector strengthen the administrative supervision and inspection to fight corruption in the country.
Ana Comoana's demand was made this Thursday, in Maputo, at the opening ceremony of the second Consultative Council of the Inspecção-Geral da Administração Pública.
Comoana also said there is a need for more transparency in accountability in the public sector.
"Your actions must have an impact on improving governmental action, in favor of developing a culture of legality, integrity, transparency, and accountability in Mozambican public administration. The public must have confidence in you and your work, and in the results of that work," he said.
The Inspector General of Public Administration, Augusto Mangove, assured that the sector will continue to fight the irregularities that have been detected in the public administration.
The second Consultative Council, which ends tomorrow, takes place under the motto "For strengthening the internal control bodies in the decentralization process and fighting corruption in public administration.
