The National Communications Institute of Mozambique (INCM) today suspended Decree No. 1 BR-CA/INCM/2024 of February 19, 2024, which established the minimum limits for telecommunications tariffs in Mozambique.
The measure comes as a result of a recommendation issued by the Council of Ministers last week (May 28).

In a statement, the INCM said that additional studies are underway, in coordination with the telephone operators, in order to follow up on the recommendations of the Council of Ministers".
However, the document does not say when the suspension will be felt in the current fares spent as a result of the approval of the decree now suspended.
