Four employees of the Health sector, in Niassa province, were recently expelled from the State apparatus for their involvement in the detour of medicines from the National Health System.
According to "Notícias", the medicines were embezzled from the Provincial Hospital of Lichinga, where the implicated worked, and include antibiotics, various syrups and tranquilizers that were then sold in markets and homes, without any medical prescription, endangering people's lives.
The provincial director of Health Services, José Manuel, said that two other employees assigned to the District Hospital of Mandimba were recently dismissed in connection with the loss of medical-surgical material in that health unit.
