The Ministry of Transport and Communications acknowledges that there have been shortcomings in the scheduling of driving license exams at the National Road Transport Institute (INATRO).
The deputy minister in charge, Amilton Alissone, said that driving schools had taken on the responsibility of marking the exams, but acknowledged flaws in the system's approach.
Quoted by NewsHe pointed to the students' delay in submitting the requirements to book the exams as an obstacle.
The solution is therefore to integrate the driving schools in the management of the process.
"Naturally, INATRO's share of this responsibility may have been greater. Even so, the most important thing is that a solution has been found and we are in a process of decentralization," he said.
This process covers the provinces of Maputo, Gaza, Inhambane, Sofala and Nampula. The integration is expected to be completed by the end of this quarter.
