Elon Musk owner of the multinational Tesla, which recently posted fantastic financial results announced that the private vehicle manufacturer hopes to be able to produce autonomous cabs by 2024.

The information was released during the presentation of the first quarter results, indicating that these cabs from Tesla will feature a "futuristic" design and without any steering wheel or pedals. Naturally, notes Digital Trends  that these cabs will use autonomous driving technology being developed by the company and that they can be used by anyone.

Musk believes that the price to ride in one of these autonomous cabs will be less than that of a bus ticket, which would help improve the way people move around in big cities.
