Thirty-four school toilets are being built this year in as many schools in Tete province.
These are mixed toilets, for students, teachers, consisting of two water tanks.
The project, which has already reached a physical execution above fifty percent, is part of the government's efforts to mitigate the covid-19 pandemic.
The provincial director of public works of Tete, said that by the end of the first half of this year, all 34 toilets will be completed.
Nelson Chuze explained that along with these actions, his sector is training the school community on how to handle the sanitary appliances.
The source explained that last year, the government delivered 39 toilets to an equal number of schools in Tete Province.
