Sexual Harassment. A "work culture" at Tesla

Elon Musk's company, the richest man in the world, Tesla, is dealing with several lawsuits that are increasing every day due to regular sexual harassment practices in the workplace.

The electric vehicle plant is progressively "fostering a culture of sexual harassment," according to six former female employees who have already filed lawsuits against the company.

"Several women reported that they complained about the behavior [at the company] but nothing changed; others felt frightened to talk to the Human Resources department because the harassments were also coming from their superiors," according to The Washington Post, quoted by electreck.

Several women said they were subjected to constant inappropriate comments and even touching from colleagues and supervisors.

Among the strategies used by the victims to stay away from these acts was to buy looser clothing - which did not always work.

And as a consequence this experience at Tesla led some women to depression and anxiety, preventing them from advancing their careers.

Tesla launched a company-wide program called "Respectful Recharging" earlier this month to provide new mandatory training on Tesla's anti-harassment policy for all employees.
