World's narrowest skyscraper already has apartments for sale. Prices reach 60 M$

The Steinway Tower is finished and its apartments are now available for sale. At 435 meters high, this is the third tallest skyscraper in New York (the tallest is One World Trade Center, 541 meters) and has a 24:1 height-to-width ratio, making it the narrowest in the world.

According to CNN, prices for the apartments range from $7.75 million (€7 million) for a studio to $66 million (€60.5 million) for a penthouse.

The tower was designed by SHoP Architectures, a New York-based architecture firm. Principal Gregg Pasquarelli referred to the building as "a project of extraordinary proportions and epic grandeur.

The extremely narrow skyscrapers first appeared in force in Hong Kong in the 1970s. Since then they have spread to a number of cities on a global scale, one of which is precisely New York.
