Annulment of the CC ruling: PGR "rejects" Renamo's request. "Decisions of the CC are unappealable"

The Attorney General's Office (PGR) has dismissed Renamo's request for a stay of execution and annulment of the Constitutional Council's ruling validating and proclaiming the results of the sixth local elections.

In a statement sent to the media, the PGR said that Renamo's request lacks the legal grounds to justify the intervention of the Attorney General's Office in an extraordinary appeal to suspend and annul the Constitutional Council's ruling.

The document also states that the Constitutional Council's decisions cannot be appealed.

Regarding the alleged practice of electoral offenses by the police, the PGR says that an official letter has been issued clarifying the legal procedures in place regarding the facts mentioned.
