Adriano Maleiane participa na Cimeira Internacional para o Desenvolvimento de África

The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, will take part in the 3rd edition of the International Association for Africa's Development Summit (IDA-21) in Nairobi, Kenya, tomorrow (Monday 29), representing the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.

The event is preceded by the finance ministers' meeting that kicked off on Sunday morning (28).

The event, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, quoted by AIMThe aim is to "analyze the financial investment process within the framework of the IDA-21 program, in order to better respond to the challenges of economic development in the countries most in need".

The participants will also study mechanisms for financing structuring projects, the implementation of which will make a major contribution to promoting social welfare in African countries.

The event will address issues related to the following themes: Challenges arising from climate change; job creation for youth; improving the lives of people in situations of fragility, conflict and violence ; tax systems in promoting sustainable development; digitalization and universal access to energy, among others.

The Prime Minister's delegation, which is already in Nairobi, includes the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves, and the High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique in Nairobi, Gerónimo Chivavi.
