Access Bank strengthens commitment to financial literacy

Access Bank reforça compromisso com a literacia financeira

For the second year running, Acces Bank held Financial Literacy sessions in various schools across the country, in all the provinces where the Bank operates.

This year the initiative covered around 1230 pupils from the Mártires de Mbuzine Comprehensive Primary School in Maputo city; 7 de Setembro Primary School in Chimoio; Heróis Moçambicanos Comprehensive Primary School in Beira; III Congresso Primary School in Tete; 25 de Junho Primary School in Nampula; and EP1/2 25 de Setembro School in Nacala.

The aim of these sessions was to teach students basic financial literacy concepts so that they can build a prosperous and financially independent future.

As part of the initiative, the children received a personalized savings kit so that they can start saving, setting goals and developing financial skills from an early age.

Marco Abalroado, Managing Director of Access Bank Mozambique, said that "Access Bank remains committed to investing in financial education and in the future of the countries where it operates". "We are excited about the future prospects of a more informed and financially healthy generation," he said.

Marco Abalroado also stressed that "we firmly believe that investing in financial education from an early age is essential to empowering future generations with the necessary skills to achieve financial stability and long-term success".

Acces Bank Mozambique is committed to promoting financial education through accessible and comprehensive programs aimed at empowering communities, especially rural ones, to make informed and responsible decisions regarding their finances.
