Pope Francis was hospitalized this morning in Rome to undergo diagnostic tests and continue treatment for bronchitis.

The information was released in a statement by the Holy See Press Office, according to the international press.

Health problems have already led Pope Francis to interrupt two catechetical readings this month alone.

This is the fourth time Pope Francis has been admitted to the Roman hospital, the last time he was admitted was in March 2023 for medical examinations.
