More than 200 seasonal workers rioted this Friday (14) in front of the office of the mayor of Quelimane, Manuel de Araújo, in order to demand their salaries for three months in arrears.
According to a publication in the newspaper "The Country" The workers also denounce the lack of seriousness in the dates of payment of their salaries.
The head of the Quelimane mayor's office, James Ngingi, even tried to explain things to the workers, but they didn't believe his explanations and just demanded payment.
The chief of staff has promised that the council will settle the debt by next Tuesday, but they are demanding clarification from the mayor.
