A group of terrorists climbed into the village of Nanquidunga, in the district of Mocímboa da Praia, in the north of Cabo Delgado province, where they looted food products, especially rice and cooking oil, which had recently been allocated to the local population as part of a food assistance program.
"The terrorists arrived on Friday night, took no victims and went from house to house asking for food. Then, if someone refused, they took it by force and left," said a source quoted by the Letter from MozambiqueHe said that the group arrived a few days after the population received support.
According to the same publication, the authorities continue to work to ensure security, adding that last week, another group of terrorists was spotted by fishermen in the Nsiri Siri region, located on the coast, further south of Mocímboa da Praia.
