The representative of the Democratic Alliance Coalition (CAD) acknowledged today, in Maputo, the possibility that family members (wives) and friends of CAD leaders are being privileged in the lists for deputies in the Assembly of the Republic (AR).

"The CAD gives priority to those who work. These wives can also be part of the CAD, through the activities they have shown since the period of the marches. Some of them were even arrested when Venâncio Mondlane, the winner of the local elections, was due to be returned", said Elvino Dias.

He told journalists that when the lists were drawn up, they took into account the path and militancy "from the first hour for the just cause" in favor of Venâncio Mondlane.

"It could be true or it could be a lie. I have no way of confirming it," he said, assuring that the criteria for selecting the names was "impartial and fair".
