Kylian Mbappé left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract, so Real Madrid's signing didn't involve any transfer costs, but there were still millions of euros involved in the deal.
Kylian Mbappé is officially a Real Madrid player. The Spanish club announced the signing of the French striker, at 'zero cost', with a contract until 2029. The presentation will only take place after Euro 2024, where Mbappé will represent the French national team
For each of the five seasons, the French striker will earn a salary of 57.5 million euros, but to this figure, which is already significant, we must add 20 million euros each year, corresponding to the €100 million signing bonus, which will be paid in stages throughout the duration of the contract.
This contract is the second biggest in the history of Spanish soccer, only surpassed by the 88 million euros a year that Lionel Messi earned at Barcelona before leaving for PSG.
At Real Madrid, Mbappé will wear the number 9 jersey in his first season and, when Croatian Luka Modric leaves, he will wear the number 10. (The Ball)
