The spokesman for the Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE), Lucas José, reported on Friday that 943,731 voters had been registered nationwide. This corresponds to 12,59% of the expected target.

"Adding the voters registered in 2023 (8,723,805 voters), a total of 9,667,536 voters have already been registered, corresponding to 59,61% of the estimated 16,217,816 voters," he said.

The STAE has officially confirmed the murder of three civic education agents by the Naparamas (a local paramilitary force). The agents were murdered on March 8 at the Katapua administrative post in Chiúre district.
