The World Bank announced yesterday in Maputo that it was making 400 million dollars available for the rehabilitation of certain sections of National Road Number One (N1).
This assurance was given by the vice-president of the World Bank, Victoria Kwakwa, speaking to the press after an audience granted to her by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.
The meeting also touched on aspects related to Mozambique's development.
Victoria Kwakwa justifies her support with the fact that the road is crucial not only for the country's development, but also for connecting it to other countries, making it important for the economic integration of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
