Daughters of "Zé Du" suspect poisoning of their father. They ask for a medical examination and want to remove the "mother" from the process

The daughters of Angola's President Emeritus, José Eduardo dos Santos ("Zé Du"), suspect that poisoning has led to their father's serious health condition and are calling for a medical examination to rule out the possibilities.

The former President is hospitalized at the Teknon Medical Center in Barcelona, in an induced coma, it's been a week. And, according to SIC Notícias, José Eduardo dos Santos' daughters claim that the circumstances surrounding the last months of his life and that led to their father's hospitalization are suspicious.

"They point to possible poisoning and demand an investigation into the accident that occurred in question as apparent reasons for the current state of health," the portal writes.

The former first lady, who recently reapproached José Eduardo dos Santos after some years apart, has gone on a collision course with her older children, namely Tchizé dos Santos, who has already publicly said that Ana Paula dos Santos "abandoned her husband" and has contributed to accelerating her father's death.

In this regard, Isabel and Tchizé dos Santos want to remove Ana Paula dos Santos, "so that they can become legal representatives of their father."

The media write that they have hired a lawyer who is helping them to prevent the machines that keep Zé Du alive from being turned off. They have already called the doctors "negligent".

The Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs was, this Thursday, in Barcelona to follow the evolution of the health condition of the former Angolan President.

Téte António promised full support from the Government to the family and assured that he will pay all the hospitalization expenses.

The Angolan government recalls that it is up to the family alone to decide whether or not the machines that are holding José Eduardo dos Santos' life should be turned off.
