Zambézia: Nearly 300 tons of products detained for lack of documentation

Zambézia: Perto de 300 toneladas de produtos retidos por falta de documentação

Nearly three hundred tons of agricultural products are being held up at the Melosa border crossing in the town of Milange, Zambezia, due to a lack of documentation for export to the neighboring Republic of Malawi.

This was confirmed to Rádio Moçambique by the Delegate of the Mozambique Cereals Institute in Zambézia.

Rosa Mandara said they were corn, soybeans and beans from Boer countries, transported in large trucks, but with incomplete documentation and without payment of some taxes.

The source explained that the goods will only be able to continue their journey once the procedures have been regularized.

The Delegate of the Cereals Institute of Mozambique in Zambezia calls on those involved in the agricultural marketing chain to obtain information about the process, in order to avoid constraints. (RM)
