The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will disburse more than 10.5 million dollars, the equivalent of 682 million meticais, to finance the retention program in schools in Zambezia and Nampula provinces.
It is a program that will be implemented by the Center for Education and Learning and Capacity Building of Civil Society - CESC, and will involve children and teenagers from 10 to 19 years old.
Speaking this Tuesday in Milange district, the deputy national director of the AGE Program at CESC, Inocêncio Manjuel, explained to Radio Mozambique that the program lasts for five years and also aims at improving the students' pedagogical performance.
In his turn, the provincial director of Education of Zambezia, Joaquim Casal, praised the initiative that may reduce the level of dropouts.
