The Maputo City Court has ordered the seizure of the property where the CTA operates and the blocking of the confederation's bank accounts.
At stake is a debt of around 25 million Meticais to Construtora Mondego.
In the court document, CTA is notified to pay twenty-four million, five hundred and ninety-nine thousand, one hundred and fifty-five Meticais and forty cents, resulting from construction contracts by the Mondego Group for three buildings in the provinces of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane.
An STV report indicates that one of the contracts was signed in March 2017 for the construction of the CTA's provincial headquarters in Inhambane, for which the confederation has not paid the amount.
Agostinho Vuma was vice-president of the CTA at the time and is currently president of the Confederation. Faced with the situation, he clarifies that there are not three, but two contracts in question, for 12 million and not 25 million Meticais.
