The terrorism in Cabo Delgado generated a loss estimated in more than 42 million meticals, in the business sector of the province.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Carlos Mesquita who shared the information, said that more than four thousand companies were negatively impacted by the actions of the terrorists. Carlos Mesquita was speaking this Monday on Radio Mozambique's program Cartas na Mesa.
"We have about 4,965 micro, small and medium enterprises that were destroyed of which 295 industrial units, 4,000 in the area of trade and 166 in the area of services. Here we have a valuation so far of about 42 million meticais, and it is good to see that you cannot account for the social and human damage that this has "he said.
Carlos Mesquita also pointed out that the joint military intervention of the forces fighting terrorism is restoring economic life to Cabo Delgado.
