An Algerian mission will be traveling to Mozambique in the next few days to explore investment opportunities in the energy sector.
"We saw that there are not only opportunities in the area of hydrocarbons, but also in terms of renewable energies, where a lot can be done," said the Director for Promotion and Support of Economic Exchange at the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Fassih Rabah acknowledged that the countries could cooperate in the business sector as well as in agriculture and trade. He told the Mozambican press in Algiers that the most important thing for now will be the deployment of a mission to Mozambique, "to address economic and business issues".
He also said that his country's participation in the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) is open, although this was not a specific topic of the meeting with the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, who ended a four-day visit to Algeria on Saturday.
