Mozambican businessman Salimo Abdula is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vodafone M-Pesa. The announcement will be made next Monday in Maputo, according to the newspaper Savana.
A note from Vodafone-M-pesa indicates that "with extensive experience and a proven track record of strategic leadership, Salimo Abdula takes over the leadership of M-Pesa at a key period of expansion and innovation in the mobile financial services market. His strategic vision will drive the implementation of innovative solutions, capable of responding to the needs and constant evolution of the digital financial market in Mozambique".
Salimo Abdula is a Mozambican businessman, founder of the Intelec Holdings Group, former President of the CPLP Business Confederation (CE-CPLP), President of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) and former CEO of Vodacom Mozambique.
