Renano: Arnaldo Chalaua calls Venâncio Mondlane a "thug with no integrity"

Renano: Arnaldo Chalaua chama Venâncio Mondlane de um “bandido sem integridade”

Arnaldo Chalaua, a member of parliament and spokesman for the Renamo party in the Assembly of the Republic, considers the behavior of his colleague Venâncio Mondlane to be deviant, calling him a "bandit and a man with a lack of integrity".

According to the MP, who was speaking after a training session for young people from that political grouping in the city of Nampula, it is strange that a leader with the capacity and elegance for discourse, in the case of Venâncio Mondlane, should throw banana peels to bring down the leader of his Renamo party, who entrusted him and appointed him as rapporteur of his caucus in the Assembly of the Republic, "to today use arrogance, arbitrariness and stubbornness in an attempt to camouflage himself with what is not honorable to him".

"It's strange to see a cadre of Venâncio Mondlane, my colleague, brother and friend, with the capacity and discursive elegance, but I don't agree with his point of view of arrogance, arrogance and ambushing what isn't worthy of him, let people talk about themselves, don't say I have to be president of Renamo, it's a noble intention, but you have to be accompanied by some humility," explained Chalaua, quoted by the portal Ikweli.

For the spokesman for Renamo's parliamentary caucus, any citizen can be Renamo's leader, "but there are mechanisms, formulas and rules that must be observed so that, in fact, when they are or attain power in the party, they have some legitimacy".

"If he thinks that Ossufo Momade, the current leader of Renamo, is an incompetent person, for me the incompetent person is the one who is an advisor because he didn't advise his advisor on a good path, and he put on banana peels to let his leader fall and see him overthrown," revealed the MP.

The source said, however, that there is a calm atmosphere within that political formation, stressing that, "despite some internal insurgents with deviant behavior who want to take the party to the abyss," the party is prepared for this year's challenges, which is the registration for the general elections next October.
