The Maputo City Court has just ruled in favor of Renamo MP Venâncio Mondlane in the first injunction he filed against Ossufo Momade, President of the Renamo party.
In other words, the court ruled in favor of the deputy and senior member of Renamo and consequently suspended all of Ossufo Momade's administrative acts, according to the newspaper Evidência.
Under the order, dated June 5 and signed by the judge of law, Eusébio Lucas, all acts of mass appointment and dismissal carried out by Ossufo Momade are suspended.
"The unspecified injunction sought is decreed and the defendant is ordered to suspend all structural acts carried out by him, on the one hand, and to refrain from dismissing delegates and other members in office and appointing replacements for those dismissed, outside the period of the mandate of the Party bodies.
Under the terms of article 381/B of the Civil Procedure Code, the hearing will be held on the 15th of the current month at nine o'clock and thirty minutes (9:30). Costs for the applicant, whose court tax is set at its maximum. Register and notify," reads the order, signed by Judge Eusébio Lucas, to which Evidências had access.
