By September of this year, construction work will have been completed on the embankment road linking the districts of Nipepe, in Niassa province, to Malema, passing through Lalaua in Nampula.
The guarantee comes from the mining company DH Mining, the company responsible for the work that comprises a stretch of more than 90 kilometers of road, built as part of graphite exploration in the district of Nipepe in Niassa province.
Cited by Radio MozambiqueThe director of DH Mining, Yang Huo, said that the road should serve as an outlet for the multi-purpose port of Nacala-a-Velha in Nampula. "The work is progressing at a good pace, at around 85%," he added.
According to the source, who was speaking during a visit by the Secretary of State for Nampula, Jaime Neto, the work, budgeted at 15 million dollars, also includes the construction of a bridge over the Lúrio River.
On the occasion, Jaime Neto expressed his satisfaction with the pace of the works, and in a brief meeting with the people of Lalaua and Nipepe, who accompanied his visit, he asked for an increase in agricultural production, "as the road will make it easier to transport the produce".
